I have a guy sitting here that is telling me that Maui waxed drews old vete and the Evo ran a 10.58 at speed worlds
Sounds like that EVo runs
Was anyone there???

Was anyone there??? Maui actualy owns his own detail company. He is the only one I let wax my vette. Maui also waxes John's vette on a monthly basis. He spends usualy around 5 hours to get all the swirl marks off. As to your other question that is not related to the above yes the evo did run a 10.58

We really didn't get any clean runs in due to various issues. I was able to get him on one race and he was able to get me on another. What really sucked was that neither one of us were in our powerband on the other persons race. Maui and I decided we would try it again on another day.

Should it be a suprise? There are full interior, 100% street driven (ie no cage, dvd player, etc) Evo's that have ran in the 8's on 62mm t3 based turbo's.

Chi town bitches!! Know a guy(Adam) that came down here back in 02 had a white evo that ran 9.30's@155mph crossing into the other lane and finishing his pass in his lane lol.

So Buschur's Evo trapped 143 and 144 on pump gas with a pro driver, cuz Steve wasn't driving his own car it said some Kevin guy was. Drew trapped 141 driving his own car on pump no nitrous too, and he drove to the track, even though he left on a tow truck.
On a side note, I think it's funny how it's still referred to as his old car, not John's car. Steve, how many of your old cars are floating around, I know there's a blue Cobra on this site. Is it still called your old car?

The Evo VIII which was the first one available in the states was an 03. Granted I'm sure they started to sell them in mid 02 but he got the car into the 9's that fast with a totally new vehicle? Not saying it didn't happen, you might have gotten your year wrong or he might have been a fast worker, could have even somehow found a VII floating around somewhere. Just curious.
